Obsession: Rings, part 1 (birthstones and promise)
I love rings.
My first ring was a silver-y ring with a red octagonal Chinese symbol enameled on the front. It was a good luck charm and I wore it until the enamel wore off and I outgrew it (literally).
When I was seven, my mom replaced the ring with a birthstone ring—an unpolished peridot in a gold twisted rope setting. I wore it until I outgrew it again.

A Lavender Friday
When I saw this soap dispenser at Debenhams, it was love at first sight.
I could already picture it in my bathroom and I knew it would fit right in with my other bathroom accessories.
However, I would soon learn that the soap pump was worthless crap. It would clog, the pump got stuck, and eventually it stopped dispensing soap. Still, I kept it because it was cute, but it was just there...

A dog day afternoon
I’ve had these prints by Wiji on my drawer FOREVER. I wanted to find the perfect frames for it, and I couldn’t decide which ones to get—and when I did finally find mint green frames at National Book Store, there were only two and a third one couldn’t be found in any of their branches. Etude Playhouse fun!
I don’t know about you, but I am a huge sucker for makeup and cuteness. When they’re put together in the form of either a) cute packaging or b) a collaboration with an artist it only means that I and my wallet are goners.
When Etude House collaborated with Paris-based artist Annika Wester, the brand’s cuteness quotient meter went crazy.
